The order of the engineers of the province of Pistoia, in particular with the Youth Commission, is organizing an event entitled Discovering Engineering 2.0 (17)

The event, now in its second edition, will take place in Pistoia on 13, 14 and 15 October 2017, within the Calendar of Pistoia, Italian capital of Culture 2017.

Discovering engineering is a journey into the world of engineering, which began in 2013 with the first edition of the event. The event, organized by the Youth Commission of the Order of Engineers of Pistoia, consists of a permanent exhibition and a series of conferences and technical meetings.

Through this journey we want to show how engineering tries to make the world in which we live through applications and methods that exploit the best and perfect the resources we have available in safeguarding people's health and life.

The installations and interventions of each edition are organized for thematic areas and revolve around the three main engineering departments: civil and environmental engineering, mechanical engineering and industrial technologies, information engineering. Each installation, using simple and intuitive language, shows through images, videos, models and experiences such as engineering, in the various sectors that compose it, is applied to real life to improve it and improve it.
